CUPRA x SPINNIN' RECORDS | DANCE PHOTOGRAPHY PANEL TALK & MINI EXPO

We are collaborating with CUPRA to present a Dance Photography Panel Talk and Mini Expo featuring the renowned dance and music photographers Rutger Geerling and Tom Doms. As official photographers for international festivals, these two artists are fixtures on VIP decks and in DJ booths, traveling the world in private jets. Their creative essence aligns with CUPRA's mantra: follow your impulse.

Rutger Geerling, also known as Rudgr.com, is an award-winning photographer who received the Dutch Pop Media Award for his book on 20 years of dance music, "This is my church." Widely recognized as the father figure of EDM photography, he captures major EDM festivals and club gigs worldwide, collaborating with top DJs like Armin van Buuren and Hardwell. 

Tom Doms captures the world, whether it's big and impressive or small and delightful. Starting as a hobbyist photographer in local pubs, his journey expanded into clubs, festivals, helicopters, and private jets across locations like Miami, China, Georgia, and Las Vegas. Alongside photographing renowned artists for Spinnin' Records since 2015, Tom founded the collective Wildschieters, fostering the growth of young photographers and providing them with valuable experience. 

Throughout the evening, Rutger and Tom guide music and art enthusiasts, as well as aspiring festival photographers, through the world of dance music photography. This discussion goes beyond the festival experience, delving into the motivations for choosing festivals and traveling with world known artists. We will unveil the photographers' journey into the dance world and the meteoric rise of their careers. Beyond captivating anecdotes, they share invaluable tips & tricks, along with the essential do's & don'ts of navigating this exhilarating realm. As an added treat, an expansive exhibition showcasing their work will be unveiled.
