Featured this week (among many others): Trobi! He's releasing his new single ‘In The Studio’ today and provides the list with some musical tips, and tells all about it in this exclusive interview.
Hey, you just released your new track 'In The Studio'. How did you create this?
"Hey, 'In The Studio' was created like 6/7 months ago. I made it in Logic Pro X, nowadays I'm working in Ableton. It's a track together with two girls called Junglebae and we were in the studio, so we thought why not call the track 'In The Studio'? The horns are based on the catchy break and that's how we finished it."
What does this record say about your musical evolution as an artist?
"With this record I wanna show that easy and catchy melodies are everything. I try to get an airy vibe into every track I make, and since this is my first official release I think it's a good representation of what I'm about musically."
The track is featured on Spinnin’s New Dance Music Friday playlist. How important is Spotify to you?
"I use Spotify to listen to new music, and as 'In The Studio' is my first release I don't have an artist profile yet. I would love to do something like a 'Best of Trobi' playlist sometime, to show all the music I like. So, we'll see. Giving you some tracks for the New Dance Music Friday is a nice start!"
