KSHMR launches his own Dharma label

Jul 24, 2017

World famed US producer KSHMR has officially launched his own record label Dharma with debut release 'Festival Of Lights'. For this, he's teamed up with rising Dutch star Maurice West, resulting in a solid big room anthem filled with KSHMR's trademark exotics and productional wizardry.

KSHMR exploded onto the scene in 2014 with his first release, 'Megalodon'. Since then, he's released a string of tracks going #1 on Beatport which quickly garnered him a rapidly growing fan base. In 2016, KSHMR was awarded DJ Mag’s prestigious accolade of Best New Live Act, climbed to number 12 on their Top 100 DJ list and graces the cover of the March issue.

KSHMR has continued his run of success into 2016 with a number of phenomenal singles such as 'Touch' and 'Wildcard' and massive performances at Coachella and EDC Las Vegas, and continues to push the envelope of contemporary dance music.

Moving into 2017, he's kept on delivering groundbreaking hit records, including the Tiësto collab 'Harder' and teamup with Crossnaders 'Back To Me'. This is now followed up by the launch of his first ever record label Dharma, set to release the full KSHMR 'Materia' EP on August 4th, now preceeded by one of its singles 'Festival Of Lights', a collab with Dutch rising star Maurice West, making this the debut Dharma release.

"Festival of Lights is an homage to Dilwali. It started with an inspiring demo from up-and-comer Maurice West, which in turn became the basis for the whole Materia EP", says KSHMR, who already saw the single get an exclusive premiere at Billboard last week.

On the Dharma label, a new imprint under the wings of Spinnin' Records, he has the following to say: "Dharma will be a home for music with soul, from around the world and most importantly music I love. It gives me a platform to nourish and present new artists."
