He released his new single 'Coming Home' together with Tiësto this week, and talks about the creation of it in this exclusive interview.
Hey, you just released your new single 'Coming Home', together with Tiësto. How did you create this?
"' Hey! That’s true. I’m super excited about this one and now it’s finally getting released. Working with Tiësto has been great, he is such a cool and humble guy. I was sending him stuff through e-mail for 1,5 year or so: he really liked some of my stuff which felt amazing! After a while talking we spoke about making a track together: We sent over ideas back & forth and ‘Coming Home’ was born! Seeing him play it at Ultra gave me goosebumps."
What does this record say about your musical evolution as an artist?
"For me, making music is all about having fun in the studio. I think my sound really evolved these past 2/3 years and it has been a great process. I have so many tracks finished for this year already; I can’t wait to show you guys :)"
The track is featured on Spinnin’s New Dance Music Friday playlist on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. How important is streaming to you?
"That’s amazing! Thanks guys. I think streaming has become one of the most important things for a musician lately. When I started making music I uploaded everything on Soundcloud - which was really booming at that time. Now it’s all Spotify, Apple Music or Youtube! That’s weird if you think about it, since I’m not in the music industry for that long (yet)."
