Exclusive interview: New Dance Music Friday with MÖWE

Sep 7, 2018

We proudly present the New Dance Music Friday feature, your weekly update on all newly released dance tracks, brought together on one amazing playlist. Featured this week (among many others): MÖWE! The Austrian duo releases its new single 'Insane' today, and talks about the creation of it in this exclusive interview.

Hey, you are releasing your new single 'Insane' (feat Sibbyl) today. How did you create this?
"Thank you! Love working with you guys and super excited for this release! It all started at the Schedler Music writing camp in Austria! We wanted to go with a clubbier feeling track then our usual sound, we were in with the ‘insane’ (sorry) Sibbyl and she just started writing and coming up with hooks! We worked on some production on it and it all flowed together really well! Had so much fun creating this! The main parts of the track were made there at the camp and then finished off to create what you hear now!"

What does this record say about your musical evolution as an artist?
"We are always curious to explore new horizons and try new ideas! We never stop inventing ourselves in a new way! We love to create all sorts of music but this one just came naturally!"

The track is featured on Spinnin’s New Dance Music Friday playlist. How important is streaming to you?
"Really important! Spotify is the platform that everyone looks to now and it's only going to continue to grow! We have seen our Spotify following grow so well and cannot thank the fans enough for listening to our music! It blows our mind how many people all over the world are listening to our music! That's the dream, to spread our music all over the world and Spotify is a huge help in doing that! And of course thank you to the Spinnin’ team for featuring this in New Dance Music Friday <3."

Which tracks released this week should definitely be added to New Dance Music Friday?

Frank Pierce - 'Burn Slow'

Sick Individuals - 'Easy'

Caroline Kole - 'What If' (Decoy! Remix)
